Deliver Us
The final clause of the Lord's Prayer invites us wrestle with the reality of and reasons for temptations. Every temptation provides a test -- an opportunity to reveal how deeply the Gospel has infiltrated our hearts, minds & lives. With each temptation, God promises deliverance, as we grow even more in love with our Savior. Check out the final message in our Lord's Prayer series.
As We Forgive Our Debtors
The most forgiven people on the face of the planet ought, as a reflection of God's infinite mercy to them, be the most forgiving people on the face of the planet, too. Yet, so often we are anything but. Perhaps that is why Jesus calls on us to extend forgiveness each time we pray. But how do we do so? Join the conversation as you listen to this week's message from the Lord's Prayer & Matthew 18.
Forgive Our Debts
Jesus offers motivation to pray only one theme in the entire Lord's Prayer. Everything else He seems to think we can see the reason for & even delight in doing. But forgiving others? That, He says, we need to be taught to do. And the way He teaches us is not through guilt; it's grace. The grace that means OUR enormous debt of sin is forgiven enables us to forgive others. This week, join us as we simply recognize our own need for grace.
Give Us
Jesus invites us to do more than ask for the daily bread that I need. He calls on me to ask the Father to provide you with your daily bread. This radical call to intercessory prayer requires intentionality and interdependence. And, if we'll engage it, will transform how we view our world. Check out this week's message from Matthew 6:9-12. Note: Our livestream camera was down this week, so our video is limited.
Our Daily Bread
Our Father invites us to ask Him for things as basic, as mundane as LUNCH and as profound & miraculous as LIFE itself. So what stops you? From trusting that the Creator of the Universe concerns Himself with the "lunch-level" details of your day? Or that your Father is powerful enough to handle the miraculous? Probably it's refusing to admit your lack & accept His limits. Learn why that matters in today's message from Matthew 6:11.
Your Desires Be Done
Many of us have a love/hate relationship with that tiny petition "Your will be done" tucked into the Lord's Prayer. Uttering those words means ceding our own sovereignty, trusting the Father's heart. This week we wrestle with the terrific, troublesome truth held in this beautiful phrase. Check out this week's message from Matthew 6:9-10.
Your Kingdom Come
The fact that Jesus invites us to pray boldly, audaciously for God's Kingdom to invade earth right where we live, work, and play is phenomenal. Because that means that He intends to use US, followers of Jesus, to represent the Father's rule & reproduce His Kingdom. Every day. Right where we are. Check out this week's message, as we continue our journey through the Lord's Prayer.
Hallow Your Name
The first petition in the Lord's Prayer is a strange one. "Father, make Your name have more weight than any other name in my world." It's strange, because that's not where we tend to start. It's startling, because we desperately need it to be. Check out this week's message from Matthew 6:9.
Father in the Heavens
To say that you can approach our Father in the heavens to petition for your daily bread is a profound statement. It means you come both to the God who is intimately present to His children and infinitely greater than their deepest fears & strongest foes. Intimate & infinite. Find out why that matters in today's message from Matthew 6:9.
